GAV - SI

Description

The GAV series switch-disconnectors are air-insulated indoor apparatus for wall installation. The main contacts are double blade, with hinge operation. The extinction of the arc occurs thanks to the presence of special arc-breaking contacts and the self-generated air blow during opening. They can be equipped with manual earthing switches on the line side and on the load side, interlocked with the operation of the main contacts. It is also possible to apply a fuse holder frame (fuses according to DIN 43625) with automatic release device in case of melting of fuse. The manual operating mechanism is over dead center type. It is also possible to apply an energy storage operating mechanism with an automatic release system.

Fields of application

GAV switch-disconnectors are used for switching medium voltage lines with active loads, switching no-load transformers, switching ring circuits, interrupting no-load cables. They are suitable for use in utilities, industry, MV / LV distribution and transformation substations.
