Description
The HICOS DVB systems integrate in a single apparatus the functions of circuit-breaker and three-position disconnector (open-closed-earth). The two apparatus are arranged in a sealed stainless steel container filled with gas. The circuit-breaker is made with the use of vacuum interrupters. The contacts of the disconnector are isolated in the gas. The gas constitutes the insulation of the live parts. The dimensions are very small and allow the construction of unit compartments with a minimum width of 375 mm.
Fields of application
DVB systems are normally used in HICOS AIS secondary distribution air insulated switchgear, for the construction of electrical distribution and MV / LV transformer substations. They are also available for installation in third-party manufacturers’ panels. They are widely used in distribution networks for: renewable energy, utilities, light industry, oil & gas, chemical plants, water treatment, data centers, rail transport, airports, infrastructures, shopping centers, service sectors, etc.
