Description
HICOS PSD series switch-disconnectors are outdoor installation apparatus for direct pole mounting. The contacts are incorporated in a watertight stainless steel container, filled with gas with the functions of insulation and extinguishing the arc. The terminals are equipped with special insulators to allow direct connection of the medium voltage line with non-insulated conductors (bare conductors). HICOS PSD are equipped with exeeding dead center operating mechanism and the operations are independent of the operator’s speed. It is also possible to apply a gearmotor for remote control. The HICOS PSD switch-disconnectors are available in the normal version and in the version for areas with high pollution presence (Extrenme Pollution).
Fields of application
The HICOS PSD switch-disconnectors are normally used for the disconnection of overhead lines and for the power supply of electrical distribution and MV / LV transformer substations. They are suitable for use in utilities, conventional and renewable energy production plants, light industry, transports, rural areas, etc.
