HICOS SD

Description

HICOS SD series switch-disconnectors are three-positions (line-open-earthed) apparatus. The contacts are incorporated in a watertight steel casing, filled with gas with the functions of insulation and extinguishing the arc. The steel casing is suitable for installation in enclosure and allows the metal separation between the busbar compartment and the line compartment (PM classification - IEC 62271-1 standards). The dimensions of the switch-disconnector are very small and allow to make compartments with a width of 375 mm.

Fields of application

HICOS SD switch-disconnectors are normally used in HICOS AIS secondary distribution air insulated switchgear, for the construction of electrical distribution and MV / LV transformer substations. HICOS SD are available for installation in third-party switchgear. They are suitable for use in utilities, conventional and renewable energy production plants, light industry, tertiary sector and transport.
